The Cross-checking feature acts as an automated verification layer that enhances document integrity by systematically comparing extracted data fields across all submitted materials. By identifying equivalent information—such as matching an applicant's name on a bank statement with their details on a national ID—the system automatically flags discrepancies or inconsistencies. This ensures that the information remains authentic and consistent throughout the entire submission, reducing the need for manual oversight and minimizing the risk of data errors.
A technical breakdown of the cross-checking feature.
| Component | Description | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-checking fields | Aggregates findings from equivalent data fields across various documents that use different labels. | Ensures data consistency. |
| Validation Engine | Compares names, IDs, and addresses across various documents to find exact matches or records within a specified threshold. | Configurable results for Officers. |
| Summary/Download | Provides a summary of the cross-checking results for each source document, including an option to download the data in Excel format. | Delivers a ready-to-use analysis report to guide your next steps. |
As a Credit Officer, I want to automatically compare equivalent data fields across all submitted documents so that I can ensure the applicant's information is consistent and authentic without manual cross-referencing.
Real-world scenarios demonstrating the feature's value.
Cross-checking is configured by our team during the implementation phase. To facilitate this setup, clients must provide the following configuration details:
| Cross-checking guidelines | |
|---|---|
| Component | Description |
| Cross-checking field status | Green Icon (Match) - Confirms the cross-checking feature found matching information across documents. |
| Red Icon (Mismatch) - Flags a discrepancy identified by the cross-checking feature between data fields. | |
| N/A (Incomplete) - The cross-checking feature could not locate the specific data field on the document or the information was not available on the document. | |
| Cross-checking submission detail overview | The submission detail window displays immediate cross-checking results, highlighting mismatches found by the feature. Users can access a comprehensive breakdown of all verification checks by navigating to the full summary view. |
| Cross-checking result download | Allows users to export a full report of the cross-checking findings in Excel by navigating to the full summary view. This report provides a permanent record of all verified and flagged data fields for internal auditing. |
